R.H. McRae Electrical Contractors, Inc. was founded in 1989 for the purpose of Electrical Installation. During these past years, our corporate growth has enabled us to focus on an industrial level. McRae Electric primarily meets the demands made by the Poultry and Food processing industries however we have also worked in paper plants, power generating facility and feed mills. We are experienced in custom (on-site or off-site) built control panels and we also specialize in the development of custom refrigeration controls, custom built control panels, and custom motor control centers.

We have personnel that includes both electricians and electrical helpers. Our complete job history covers multiple states in which we are licensed or registered to work. These states include North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Virginia, New York, Georgia, Alabama, Maryland, Delaware, Kentucky, Texas, Arizona, Iowa, Missouri, Pennsylvania and Colorado.

The scope of our work ranges from rewiring a food processing plant in DeFuniak Springs, FL, to a bulk fuel storage area in Newport, RI, for the US Navy. We also worked on a simple cycle plant generating facility for Progress Energy in Rockingham, NC.

More recently we have built a new bakery feed plant in Texas and completed a ground beef line for JBS in Arizona. In addition we have completed a new distribution center for Plainville Farms in New Oxford, PA, with eight new blast freezers. Our work also includes new equipment installation and relocation of existing equipment for Tyson Foods.

Renovation jobs include a complete rewiring of Simple Essentials food processing plant in Charles City, IA, a Butterball cook plant in Raeford, NC and a poultry cut up/debone plant in Fredericksburg, PA.
